Full-time Region: US Department: Commercial About This Role This role will lead the Global CMI (Customer & Market Insights) team within the Global CE&O (GCE&O) organization based in the US supporting all in-market and pipeline assets. The role will establish a center of operational excellence, including CMI, global strategic forecasting, deep insights generation, and competitive intelligence. The role will be responsible for leading a global team supporting all PDC requirements to deliver meaningful insights to enable optimized decision-making to drive superior business performance. This role requires generating deep market understanding and customer journey insights to inform short-term business execution improvements, as well as longer-term strategic decision-making. Close collaboration with key senior stakeholders including PDCs, Business Development/Corporate Strategy, and Executive Committee members will be critical. What You’ll Do Global CMI & Strategic Forecasting: Lead and coach a team to deliver deep insights generation and forecasting requirements serving both PDCs and regional requirements, ensuring proactive resource allocation and prioritization. Deliver all CMI requirements on a global scale, providing short- and long-term insights to drive and optimize business decisions across the Biogen portfolio. Ensure effective handover and collaboration from global to regional levels, including iCoE CMI team, to ensure effective delivery of CMI across the portfolio. Deliver a prioritized CMI plan, allocating resources efficiently and communicating clearly what can be supported. Build and deliver a meaningful insights generation platform for the business to take action on. Deep partnership with PDC leads to identify and execute prioritized pipeline CMI and strategic forecasting requirements. Deliver scenario planning and forecasting modeling to support business decisions. Strategic Partnership: Provide thought partnership to align, prioritize, and execute CMI requirements across the Biogen portfolio. Create and maintain strong collaborations across US and international stakeholders. Provide leadership within a defined Global CoE governance structure to enable strong collaboration between Global & regional CE&O organizations. Driving Capabilities & Continuous Improvement: Establish a center of excellence to drive capabilities across Insights Generation/MR, Global Strategic Forecasting, and Competitive Intelligence. Ensure that the business receives outputs in a meaningful way. Strengthen the partnership between Global CE&O and regional CE&O/CMI teams. Lead innovation and improvement, engaging in external capabilities and market developments. Proactively seek new solutions and methodologies, delivering regular market analysis and recommendations. Identify and partner with Global CE&O LT to improve delivery and operations across the organization. Apply continuous improvement philosophy across the Global CE&O organization. Who You Are You will drive innovation by integrating relevant data sources to understand the link between business execution efforts and successful outcomes. You will define, create and drive a meaningful patient finding capability program in relevant pipeline assets. Qualifications 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Significant experience working at a senior/executive level, with depth of knowledge in CMI, insights generation, modeling, and forecasting. In-depth experience of CMI and forecasting activities and processes. Proven track record of driving change management. Proven record of leading and developing people. Advanced analytical and strategic skills. Participation/leadership in defining and implementing global strategy. Position requires international travel approximately 15%. Why Biogen?
