OverviewThe Mixologer is a scrappy and resourceful 5 year-old startup. We are seeking an experienced retention focused (email and organic social) Director of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives and drive brand growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retention marketing, with a proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies that align with business objectives. This role requires a creative thinker who can analyze market trends and customer insights to enhance our brand presence and engage our target audience effectively. This candidate should have extensive experience in understanding capital deployment in different marketing channels based on ROAS, LTV and impressions.
Position Breakdown
35% Email & SMS marketing: manage agency
35% Organic social media management - IG/Meta/TikTok/YouTube: manage agency
20% Influencer marketing
10% TBD depending on experience
Duties
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that increase brand awareness and drive customer engagement.
Oversee all aspects of digital marketing, including email campaigns, organic social media and content marketing, SEO, and paid media.
Lead the creation of compelling copy for various platforms including websites, advertisements, and promotional materials.
Hands-on: Communicate directly with customers on all social media channels
Manage advertising campaigns across multiple channels, including print advertising and online platforms.
Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline processes and enhance campaign effectiveness.
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities for growth and assess competitive landscape.
Collaborate with sales teams to align marketing efforts with sales goals and improve lead generation strategies.
Monitor performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
Maintain the company website using Shopify, ensuring content is up-to-date and optimized for user experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Must have industry or extensive personal experience in the spirit category
Proven experience in a senior marketing role with a strong understanding of sales principles.
Proficiency in digital marketing techniques, including email marketing, organic social media, Google Ads, and social media advertising.
Exceptional copywriting skills with an ability to craft engaging content tailored to different audiences.
Experience with marketing automation platforms and analytics tools to track campaign performance.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset.
Familiarity with Shopify for website management is a plus.
