The Medical Device Integration and Cybersecurity specialist will be responsible for supporting Clients overall cybersecurity initiatives and Medical Device Integration (MDI). Utilizing Crothall’s cybersecurity framework, technologies and policies and procedures, the Medical Device Integration and Cybersecurity Specialist will be involved in response to cybersecurity alerts, ensuring Client KPI’s are met, perform audits and risk assessments of medical devices, entail responding to trouble calls, identifying fault conditions, and remediating if capable or contacting and teaming with Clinical Informatics and Information Management resources to resolve issues. Utilize downtime plans, logistics, and training to support the operational data workflows of the production environment.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Respond expeditiously to calls from clinical departments to evaluate and rectify valid operator complaints and concerns.Monitor and respond to Clients medical device asset and cybersecurity management platform findings and mitigating steps.Collaborate and work with Clients to respond and coordinate mitigating steps and compensating controls on contracted medical devices that may arise from Asimily.Ensure work orders are completed within defined KPI’s and assist on site if needed for successful completion.Assist with GAP analysis by physically identifying devices and verifying the IT parameters to correlate with Asimily.Apply patches, software updates and device mitigations as assigned.Design biomedical device integration solutions.Knowledgeable of the operation of and have experience in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of medical equipment and systems.Troubleshoot hardware and software to ensure data connections.Serve as a reference source for biomedical engineering and clinical staff with regards to appropriate procedures for the integration of clinical equipment to the information system.Maintain an orderly and functional working environment and follow the 5S cleaning methodology.Provide emergency on-call responsibilities as needed.Maintain accurate inventory and documentation on all equipment, inspections and disinfection of equipment and any issues.Assure compliance with all regulatory standards including patient safety and all relative criteria governing the safe and appropriate use, testing and management of medical devices.Ensure all existing and future medical devices comply with medical device security requirements to ensure protection of PHI.Collaborate with fellow technical personnel in department meetings to ensure they are kept abreast of technical updates and/or device related problems.Learn, understand, and comply with all government, regulatory, industry, company, and client Policies and Procedures, and subsequent updates.Complete all required training (e.g., skills-based, client, work-related, certification).Perform other duties as assigned that are intrinsic to the successful operation of the account and company.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Biomedical Engineering required.Recognized Computer Networking/IT Certification Required (such as CompTIA A+ and Networking +).Experience:Minimum of 3 (three) years healthcare experience;General knowledge of Biomedical and Diagnostic Imaging.Knowledge of the operation and prior hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of wide variety of medical equipment and systems.Preferred BMET background.Apply to Crothall today!Crothall is a member of Compass Group USAClick here to Learn More about the Compass StoryAssociates at Crothall are offered many fantastic benefits.MedicalDentalVisionLife Insurance/ ADDisability InsuranceRetirement PlanFlexible Time OffHoliday Time Off (varies by site/state)Associate Shopping ProgramHealth and Wellness ProgramsDiscount MarketplaceIdentity Theft ProtectionPet InsuranceCommuter BenefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramFlexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Associates may also be eligible for paid and/or unpaid time off benefits in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.Crothall maintains a drug-free workplace.Req ID:
