Entry Level Software Engineers – December 2024 and May 2025 Graduates
Across NXP, Software Engineers make our chips work for our customers, across all parts of our business. You may be facilitating test and validation activities on wireless communications products; developing safe, innovative and high-performance software products as part of Autonomous Drive applications; or working on embedded software applications for our Microprocessors/Microcontrollers group; or contributing to the rapidly evolving technology field where enterprises are moving their Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning software to the Edge devices.Responsibilities:Work on a team responsible for defining test requirements and test procedures. Execute test cases and track product quality, including automation related to testing various aspects of the product.Collaborate closely with development engineers, validation engineers, application engineers, and marketing personnel to understand product specifics and develop in-depth validation test plans.Drive continuous improvement in the existing framework to build scalable and reliable test frameworks, including writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.Specification and documentation according to NXP guidelines.Cross Functional Aspects:Engage with software, firmware, and hardware resource experts in the chip industry, interfacing with software developers, firmware engineers, and SoC design engineers.Test software and firmware to enable a wireless SoC within a product, familiarizing yourself with wireless protocols and OSes like Linux, Android, Apple iOS, Windows, and RTOS.Collaborate with engineers around the world in a flexible work environment to develop software solutions for next-generation products in the IoT and Industrial markets.Gain knowledge in various areas based on your interests and career goals.Job Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.Proficient in C, C++, Python, Perl programming, with hands-on experience writing object-oriented code.Experience in automation development on Linux, Android, FreeRTOS, Windows, etc.Prior experience in app development on Android & iOS is an added advantage.Familiarity with technologies like RESTful API, JSON, Front end – Angular, Backend – Node JS, DB – MongoDB is an added advantage.Exposure to embedded SW development is desirable.Structured and analytical working method.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.Proactive, taking full responsibility for tasks and initiatives.Excellent team member and self-driven, with a zeal for improving operational efficiency.
