Recursion is at the forefront of reimagining drug discovery through the integration of automated cell biology, high-dimensional and diverse data sets, and sophisticated analytics. We are currently seeking a Senior Global Benefits Manager who will play a critical role in supporting our team in the US, Canada, and the UK by managing benefits programs and providing exceptional service to our employees. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about delivering a positive employee experience. In this role you will:
Manage global benefits and leave policies and programs in compliance with federal and state laws, including FMLA and ADA
Design, recommend, and implement benefit programs and manage day-to-day administration
Support Recursionauts as they navigate benefits and leaves programs, including developing communication tools to enhance understanding of available programs
Survey industry trends to ensure that Recursion continues offering industry-leading, inclusive, and equitable employee benefits
Partner closely with the Senior Director of Total Rewards to help manage the benefits strategy for Recursion's global workforce
Harmonize Recursion principles for equity with regional compliance requirements
Manage the relationship with our insurance brokers to ensure we can continue to meet our goal of providing exceptional healthcare coverage for our employee population
Ensure employees understand and feel the value of our benefits offerings
Partner closely with Legal to ensure Recursion has the appropriate compliance policies and protections in place to operate effectively
Tactical responsibilities:
Global coordination of all benefits and retirement programs
Overall day-to-day benefits activities in the US, Canada, and UK include:
Benefits Data Maintenance, Benefits Offboarding, Benefits Onboarding, Payroll Benefits Deductions, Benefits Billing, Leaves, Retirement plans, Unemployment claims
Respond to daily inquiries from employees
Managing and Administering Leaves of Absence:
Short-term and long-term disability, maternity, paternity, sabbatical, accommodations
Managing and Administering our retirement plans and systems:
Fidelity day-to-day management, audits, committee management, and filings
401k audits and filings
Location
This position is based at our office located in
Salt Lake City . Please note that we are a hybrid environment and ask that employees spend 50% of their time per week in the office.
The Team You'll Join
This position is part of the People team and reports to the Head of Total Rewards and Systems. Our Total Rewards and Systems teams focus on and are responsible for designing, maintaining, and implementing Recursion's overall Total Rewards strategy to attract and retain top talent.
The Experience You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR Management, related field, or related experience
5+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits, preferably in a biotech, life sciences, or technology environment
3+ years as a Benefits Manager in a global employee setting
Experience managing vendor relationships, including brokers and benefits providers
Experience managing benefits strategy, coordinating with the Total Rewards leader and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
Experience monitoring government regulations and market trends to ensure that programs are current, competitive, and meet legal obligations
Experience using data to identify insights that drive action.
Understand the importance of equity and inclusion as it pertains to benefits, and not only bring a strong sense of conviction, but ideas on how to continue leaning into diversity, equity, and inclusion
Compensation
Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is:
Developing: $117,000
Skilled: $130,000
Expert: $143,000
You will also be eligible for bonuses and equity compensation + our comprehensive benefits package for United States based candidates.
