Overview:
Neighborhood House is seeking a dynamic and driven Development and Communications professional to bring energy and vision for increased fundraising, donor engagement, and overall brand visibility. The ideal candidate will bring innovative and dynamic strategies to support the mission and strategic plan of Neighborhood House. The Development and Communications Director is responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising and communications plan, in concert with the PR/Development Committee, the Executive Director, and the development team to ensure all fundraising goals of the organization are met and that our brand and message is communicated effectively. This executive-level position will play a crucial role in advancing our mission, securing resources, and engaging the community. Neighborhood House is a well-established organization with a strong and diverse funding base, an engaged board, and a fantastic mission. Come join us!Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive development and communication strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals.Fundraising:
Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors, corporate partners, and grant opportunities. Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns.Communications Strategy:
Create and oversee the organization's communications strategy, including marketing, public relations, and digital presence, to enhance visibility and engagement.Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, donors, community leaders, and volunteers.Team Management:
Lead and mentor the development and communications team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Data Analysis and Reporting:
Utilize data to assess fundraising effectiveness and communicate outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.Budget Management:
Develop and manage the annual budget for development and communications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Advocacy:
Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and meetings, advocating for our mission and services.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.5+ years of experience in nonprofit development and communications, with a proven track record of successful fundraising and communication strategies.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the organization's mission and impact effectively.Proficiency in donor management software, Microsoft Word applications, and other relevant tools. Adobe, Canva, and website maintenance experience are all a plus.Deep understanding of the nonprofit landscape in Salt Lake City and a passion for community engagement.Strong networking skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.How to Apply:
