Job Title:
Photographer
The annual base salary range for this position in California is $75,000 to $100,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.
This role reports to the Vice President of Content & Creative Operations and works closely with the marketing team and channel owners throughout the organization. This role is instrumental in bringing our visual brand language to life through photography.
Responsibilities
Maintain a flexible and adaptable photography style, capturing and editing compelling visual content for multiple platforms across various internal needs.
Use expert knowledge of composition, lighting, and post-production to capture high-quality images that showcase our offerings.
Help develop and distribute a shared POV on content strategy and creation for OCVIBE.
Establish, adhere to, and evolve photography art direction for internal brands and projects.
Work with/direct talent, models, players, and in-house team members to produce captivating and engaging visual content.
Manage and organize all photography assets in a centralized digital asset management system.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and other partners to augment our internal team and ensure the successful execution of photoshoots.
Support the creative team with a wide variety of ad-hoc photo projects as needed; coordinate and translate shot lists and mood boards into clear, ownable photographic images.
Maintain and manage photography equipment.
Stay up to date on industry trends and new techniques to continuously improve the quality and impact of our visual content.
Potential Photo Projects Include:
District build & launch (construction, real estate).
Marketing & brand campaigns (customer stories, lifestyle).
Community involvement.
Venues and concerts/events.
Food & beverage (supporting arena concessions & district culinary programs).
Product photography (marketing promotions, team store, specialty jerseys).
Event photography (theme nights & activations, fan development, in-game collateral, meet & greets).
Campaigns (seasonal media day & player-based initiatives).
Qualifications/Skills
5+ years of varied professional photographic experience (in-house experience preferred; some sports experience is a plus).
Extensive knowledge of photography and post-production techniques; proficiency with photo editing software and camera equipment.
Strong editing and retouching experience.
Proactiveness, ambitiousness, and assertiveness: you take ownership of your work and think beyond the scope of a given assignment.
Attention to detail, organization, and a love of craft.
Adept at finding production solutions that expand the potential of creative ideas.
A desire to learn, fail, and grow alongside a supportive internal team.
Able to communicate clearly, both written and orally.
Able to drive from site to site to capture content as needed.
Able to stand or crouch for long periods during photoshoots.
Able to interact easily and confidently with multiple stakeholders of all levels.
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an entrepreneurial approach and roll up your sleeves and execute when needed.
