Yes Job Description: As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Linux, you will design, deploy, integrate and maintain Linux technologies to advance the mission. Your work in integrating Linux resources into a primary Windows Infrastructure across multiple classification levels will help our clients overcome evolving demands and missions. HOW A SENIOR PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Integrate Linux Systems (RHEL 7/8 and Ubuntu) into a primary Windows environment with Active Directory. Configure new Linux systems for customer use ensuring compliance with enterprise baselines. Integrate Linux systems with enterprise tooling (e.g., ACAS, Splunk, SolarWinds). Maintain patches across a diverse Linux environment. Ensure compliance with baseline requirements and enterprise policy. Develop an operating system lifecycle plan with integration of DoD STIGs. Monitor all solutions integrated via a centralized alerting system. Certify log management and forwarding to a single repository. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education:
BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Experience may be substituted). Required Experience:
Minimum 17 years supporting complex projects. Required Technical Experience:
VMWare management/administration; thorough experience with RHEL, Ubuntu. Security Clearance Level:
Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Required Skills and Abilities:
Highly motivated, self-starter; ability to work independently. Location:
Washington, District of Columbia; limited telework may be available.
