Job SummaryWe seek a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Azure Cloud, Docker, and containerization technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and strong scripting skills in Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, and Kubernetes. At SHI, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs. This role requires excellent collaboration with developers and IT operations teams to ensure that software development and cloud infrastructures follow established processes and functionalities as intended.This position is required to report to the SHI office location in Somerset, NJ, or Austin, TX office location as determined by SHI management.About Us

Include, but are not limited to:Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure Cloud servicesDevelop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub ActionsAutomate application build and deployment processes using various scripting languagesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deploymentMaintain and improve infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and AnsibleEnsure secure coding practices and implement security measures within the DevOps pipelineCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and deployment processesPlan projects, determine dependencies, and manage tasks to ensure timely deliveryLeverage Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestrationImplement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutionsCreate DevOps infrastructure solutions to support new applications with automated onboarding using built-in recipes for code reuseStrong understanding of secure coding practicesExperience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and project planningManage and configure Azure networking, including virtual networks (vnets), private networks, peering, private DNS, DNS resolvers, and understand their interactions both within a subscription and across multiple subscriptions and on-premises environmentsQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role4+ years of experience with cloud computing3+ years of experience working with AzureProven experience with Azure Cloud services and infrastructure managementStrong expertise in Docker and containerization technologiesHands-on experience with Jenkins, including setup and management of Controller and Agent NodesProficiency in GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automationSolid understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practicesStrong scripting skills in Groovy, Python, PowerShell, and Shell ScriptingStrong experience with Linux operating systemsRequired Skills
Proficient experience with Windows operating systemsExcellent cross-team collaboration and communication skillsStrong documentation skills to maintain clear and detailed recordsStrong automation skills for cloud, application build, and deployment processesKnowledge of automation tools like Terraform and Ansible is a mustExperience with Kubernetes is a plusAWS Cloud experience is a plusCertifications Required

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $115,000 – $170,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
