Spire is seeking an Application Support System Analyst III to work in the Houston, TX location. This position will be responsible for providing support and guidance to team members in the evaluation of requirements, the development and selection of proper resolution and for following change management standards and processes. The Application Support System Analyst III, ETRM, will support the Open Link Endur system and the Spire Marketing team.Duties and Responsibilities
Act as IT representative for ETRM related applications and processesProvide development, production support, business analysis, and infrastructure duties as neededEnsure ITS change management policies and procedures are followed as they relate to the ETRM related systemsPerform initial positive and negative testing for solutions prior to releasing for user acceptance testingAbility to quickly learn and adapt to new technology features as needed to support business goalsWrite documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and correctionsProactively work with ETRM vendor to maintain health of the ETRM environments, create support requests, as needed, for defects, upgrades, etc.Recommend patches, upgrades, and configuration changesPractice effective organizational and analytical skillsUpdate and maintain internal software documentation.Create and update reports; implement changes to reports.Work with managers to enhance, publish, and train staff regarding implementation best practices in specific functional area of the product solutionProvide audit related user security reportsUnderstand software quality best practices, test strategy and planningIdentify potential problems associated with the implementation of a project and develop a test plan to cover all the areas of those problemsMeet with team members and end-users to discuss and capture accurate direction on projects. Use experience to direct best resolution selection, coding, testing and delivery processesReading technical manuals, conduct system diagnostics and provide technical guidanceAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesAbility to adapt in a fast-moving and changing cultureAll other duties as assignedRequired Education (certifications, licenses)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience and certification requiredRequired knowledge, skill and abilities
7+ years of experience IT related experience required5+ years industry experience in energy supply, trading, and/or risk required5+ years of ETRM systems experience required5+ years of Systems Analysis experience required5+ years of project related experience required5+ years of OpenLink Endur JVS development experience required5+ years of experience with Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows Server and Windows Terminal Server required5+ years of OpenLink Endur experience, including design, configuring and troubleshooting requiredStrong Knowledge of natural gas marketsExtensive experience with OpenLink Endur and exposure to Commodities trading requiredStrong experience with Endur architecture (front, middle, and back office modules)Strong experience working with PL/SQL and SQLStrong knowledge of database technologies (Oracle/MS SQL)Willing to learn new skills and system modules.Physical demands, environment and schedule
Normal Work Environment - Work is normally performed in a shared office environment.Typically, 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Overtime and travel may be required.Posting Requirements
