Financial Analyst
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, has an opening for a Financial Analyst. This individual will work closely with the project team and the client to ensure the budget is appropriately spent. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent Excel skills and a strong understanding of finance principles. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and possess exceptional reporting and presentation skills.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support various finance projects, ensuring timely and accurate completionPresent program material to various audiences through presentations, reports, and other communication methodsReview budgets and compare program usage to budget and identify discrepanciesAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savingsCollaborate with project teams to ensure financial goals are met and provide financial insights to support project planning and executionPrepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for executive leadership, committees, and other stakeholdersEnsure compliance with federal regulations and internal policies regarding financial management and reportingMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldMinimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in financial analysisExcellent Excel skills, including advanced functions and data analysis toolsStrong reporting and presentation skillsDeep understanding of finance principles and practicesStrong customer presence with excellent communication (written and oral), presentation, and interpersonal skillsAuthorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship indefinitelyAbility to obtain a public trustPreferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldExperience supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) or other federal health agencies preferredGovernment consulting budgeting experience is highly preferredFamiliarity with federal financial regulations and compliance requirementsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin.
