The Role
As a Finance Director, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Working with the Nuclear Sector CFO and MD of Cavendish Nuclear, a fast growing, profitable part of our wider nuclear sector; providing leadership, direction and oversight of the sector's financial activities.
Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for the preparation of business unit financial reports, project performance reports and forecasts for future business growth; you'll also, be required to support various new opportunities, bids and tenders, as well as being able to take a more commercial perspective on the business:
Key business interface with operational and functional directors and any other board members.
Financial guidance for the strategy and development of the business.
Financial guidance on business winning in a competitive environment.
Drive the business to exceed profit and cash targets.
Interface with Sector finance team.This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office / onsite and 2 days working from home.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. We are happy to consider flexible, blended working, including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.
Essential Experience of the Finance Director:
Experience in financial management at FD level in a project engineering environment.
Successful delivery of working capital and cash flow improvements.
Demonstrable experience as a financial leader with the drive, ambition and gravitas to lead a high-performing team.
Proven capability and significant experience of leading change, implementing systems and processes.
High level of commercial acumen.
Extensive experience of working with bids and tenders.Qualifications for the Finance Director:
You must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent / similar.Security Clearance
