About the Middle Market Multiline Production Underwriter role: The Executive Sales Underwriter is accountable for underwriting, focusing on growth and profitability for their individual book of business, while also managing sales and territory functions. This role involves overseeing new business development and managing a renewal portfolio, which includes risk selection, pricing, setting terms and conditions, and handling endorsements, agency requests, loss control, and audits.
The Ideal Candidate Has: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience; advanced designations (CPCU, CIC) preferred. 7+ years of experience in commercial lines sales and underwriting with a proven sales track record. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Technical expertise in commercial insurance sales and underwriting. Proficiency in agency prospecting, planning, and performance accountability. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with the assigned territory and its competitors. Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
