Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Centers (HVRCHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center, seeks a full-time Director of Finance to ensure that Management and the Board of Directors receive timely and reliable financial information, safeguard the assets of HVRCHC by establishing adequate internal controls, and oversee areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Budget, Purchasing, and Payroll, as well as cash projections and liquidity projections. On-site daycare/preschool available.Duties include:Preparing and presenting financial statements and reports for review by the Chief Financial Officer.Maintaining necessary and timely Balance Sheet account proofs of the corporation.Reviewing monthly budget vs. actual reports for accuracy and appropriateness.Advising agency administrators on the development of annual budgets.Interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and supervising staff in the Finance Department to ensure effective and efficient performance of accounting activities.Establishing adequate internal accounting controls to safeguard the assets of HVRCHC.Projecting, managing, and monitoring cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for smooth operations and keeping the Chief Financial Officer up-to-date on cash flow status.Coordinating necessary actions with outside accounting firms for annual audit and cost report duties.Providing assistance to the Chief Financial Officer as requested to execute special projects.Developing reimbursement rates for the agency through cost data analysis and review of Federal/State regulations. Participating in the development and preparation of rate appeals, under the direction of CFO. Responsible for the annual submission of the Consolidated Fiscal Report to DOH, Clinic Report, and all other grants and cost report findings to ensure completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.Requirements:Proficiency in general ledger systems and subsystems to provide timely monthly financial statement reporting.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred.3-5 years of experience in accounting and finance, medical and/or FQHC setting preferred.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Strong knowledge of Excel pivot tables and formulas.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and with a team to achieve goals.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail.Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Center will select, promote, assign, transfer, recruit, train, and otherwise provide terms and conditions of employment to all employees in all job classifications without regard for age, race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, military status, sex, disability, pre-disposing genetic characteristics, familial status, marital status, or domestic violence victim status or for any other reason recognized by federal, state or local law or regulation.
