Your Impact

You will have responsibility for overseeing the accounting of revenue from customers, including ownership of 3 rd

party vendor cost of goods and services sold to customers. You will also be responsible for the accounting of professional services to our customers, including determination of timing of recognition and presentation. This includes ownership of the overall close cycle, controls, reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. The Manager, Revenue Accounting will oversee a current, though growing, team of one professional covering the Company’s third-party cost of goods and services and professional services processes.

The role requires experience with revenue and commercial models for selling bundled hardware, software and services subscriptions as well as strong team leadership skills, specifically managing and building a best-in-class team, and fostering effective cross-functional relationships. You will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high growth environment. Additionally, the Manager, Revenue Accounting will partner with non-finance related executives and managers within Operations to build and drive processes that satisfy internal expectations and data reporting. What You’ll Do Location:

Sr. Manager, Revenue Accounting Leads, coaches and develops the team responsible for complete and accurate third-party and internal COGS recognition utilizing RevStream, Salesforce, Dynamics 365 and adjacent systems. Partners closely with Sales, Commercial Controllership, Commercial Operations and FP&A to ensure precise, accurate, complete and timely reporting of revenue and cost of goods and services. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Finance and Operations to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting. Supports all internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance. Develops a deep understanding of the Company’s lead-to-cash cycle, focusing on quoting through revenue recognition and its impact on processes and data. Utilizes a deep understanding of the Company’s quoting, ordering and revenue recognition systems and processes to draft, implement and execute policies and procedures for an efficient revenue close cycle. Partners with other functions to enable timely and accurate reporting on KPIs and metrics. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes, systems, and productivity to support scaling in existing and new markets. What You Bring 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, with 2+ years of direct people management. CPA or equivalent preferred, with deep understanding of ASC 606 and ASC 340 and ability to research complex accounting matters. Public company experience subject to SOX regulation, preferably with technology companies. Strong attention to detail, a commitment to high quality, results driven, effective time management and customer focus. History of successfully implementing and enhancing operational technologies and solutions for scaling in a rapidly growing global business. Proven ability to improve the financial close process including quality, efficiency, and timeliness. Ability to problem solve day-to-day issues affecting multiple stakeholders including cross-functional team members. Superior intellect with the ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned decisions, complemented by a passion for the role and company. The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 104,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 156,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
