Senior Financial Analyst

will provide financial guidance and decisioning support to G&A operating leaders. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will use your financial acumen and influence to maximize the effectiveness of Sleep Number’s corporate operational leaders. This role offers strategic and planning support to the business by measuring performance and progress against stated objectives with a focus on achieving key financial and operational objectives.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review and report monthly financial results to ensure accuracy and provide appropriate visibility to business leaders.Provide analysis, insights and guidance to allow business leaders to design, implement and measure profitable business strategies, enhance cost efficiencies, and improve quality and customer experience.Lead standard financial processes that includes budget development and periodic forecast updates for expense and capital expenditures.Own month-end and ongoing analysis of business performance including expense and KPI reporting vs plan and objectives.Support business objectives by supporting annual budget planning and staff planning.Communicate budget updates to operating leaders (Director level and above) as well as Executive leadership.Identify and help implement process and cost improvements.Execute on project work including business case development for operational and capital projects, support for supplier negotiations, metric development and “deep dive” analyses, and other senior management support.Position Requirements5+ years of financial analysis experience with a focus on partnering with operating leaders.Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; MBA preferred.Proficient with MS Excel and familiar with other business intelligence tools; knowledge of accounting system (Oracle) and Hyperion Essbase preferred.Prior experience as a Financial Analyst supporting highly visible pieces of the business.Proven ability to build strong working relationships and influence business partners across organizations.Comfortable presenting to executives/senior leadership teams.Advanced financial modeling and tool building, problem solving, and analytical thinking.Strong business acumen and sense of accountability and ownership.Self-driven, persuasive and independent with attention to detail & follow-up.Demonstrated time and project management skills; ability to multi-task, manage competing deadlines, and function effectively under pressure.Working ConditionsSleep Number offers a hybrid work environment providing the flexibility and balance of a blend of remote work and onsite collaboration in the office at Sleep Number's corporate Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.Wellbeing is more than a catchphrase - it's a movement that permeates our company and through our team members.
