is seeking a
Director - Nursing Programs
for the School of Nursing Department based at Kennedy King College. MXC has partnered with Kennedy King College to bring Basic Nursing Assistant Certification to the Kennedy King College community. While the program will primarily operate at Kennedy King College, occasional travel to Malcolm X College may be necessary. Positions within the Basic Nursing Assistant Program will report directly to the administration at Malcolm X College.The mission of Malcolm X College is to provide accessible liberal arts and health-focused education that fosters personal and professional achievement. To fulfill this mission, we focus on the following core values: accountability, community, diversity, empowerment, learning, and respect.This position typically provides dynamic vision and leadership for the Nursing Department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Creates an atmosphere of cohesiveness and collaboration among faculty.Promotes an environment that fosters excellence in didactic and clinical teaching and professional services.Coordinates faculty activities that promote and achieve the educational objectives, academic standards, and accreditation of the Nursing Department.Prepares course schedules, staff and program development, budget and personnel management, procurement of extramural resources, clinical affiliations, and promotion of scholarships and excellence in nursing.Performs other duties as assigned.Required to adhere to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.Qualifications:Master’s degree or higher in Nursing is required. Current state nursing license also required.Two years of experience in nursing clinical practice required.Two years of experience as an instructor in an RN or higher nursing education program required.Experience in working effectively with the public.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must be self-directed and innovative, able to assess current operations in an effort to improve the future goals of the District.Must be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.WE OFFER:
