JOB DESCRIPTIONThe position partners closely with key finance teams and business partners to deliver strategic and financial objectives and offering an excellent opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the credit card & payments industry including business strategy, competitive landscape, product rewards structures, macro-economic impacts, and P&L drivers while gaining exposure to Chase’s overall consumer and business card strategies.
As a Financial Analysis Vice President within Chase Card Partner CFO team, you will be responsible for strategic financial reporting and analysis across 11 co-brand partners. You will be a trusted advisor to Partner CFOs and Co-brand Partner General Manager (GM) teams. In addition, you will own end to end analytics, reporting and special projects that will help to drive profitable growth for the #1 U.S. co-brand credit card issuer.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform cross partner analysis and create presentation materials on financial results to Partner GM teams, the President of Partner, as well as senior leaders within the finance organization.
Work with Partner CFOs to consolidate monthly reporting / ad hoc requests to various internal groups (e.g., P&A).
Support financial planning and forecasting (Budget, Outlook, Risk & Opportunities), coordinating activities across different teams (e.g., P&A), and providing forecasting analysis.
Lead Resolution work stream for Chase Credit Card under the Resolution and Recovery program.
Conduct various ad-hoc analysis, e.g. segmentation analysis, customer profile analysis and variance analysis.
Automate and enhance existing reporting processes using intelligent solutions such as Alteryx workflows, Tableau dashboards etc.
Manage and train new hires and rotational analysts in the team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Bachelor’s or above degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related discipline.
6+ years of experience in financial analysis, risk analysis, or data analysis related fields.
Strong quantitative, critical thinking and analytic skills, excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills; confidence with finance and accounting concepts; the ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex concepts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with a desire to use both in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders; ability to present, lead, support and influence senior management and business development in deal process.
Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented; fact-based, with the courage to ask tough questions and challenge the status quo.
Superior organizational and process skills, attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at the same time.
Ability to work dynamically within a large, matrixed organization.
Comfort in working with ambiguous objectives / goals.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Credit Card / Consumer Finance background.
Advanced degree or professional certification.
Hyperion Essbase and SAP experience.
Tableau and data wrangling (e.g. Alteryx) experience.
Coding experience (SAS, SQL, Python).
