Overview:
Breakthru Beverage Group is seeking a hands-on Director of Finance with a knack for problem-solving and collaborating essential stakeholders to become a part of our Nevada team.This position must be based from our Las Vegas, Nevada office to be in a hybrid capacity.
The Finance Director will manage the operations of the Finance Department in Nevada, ensuring the precise and prompt distribution of financial management reports. This includes, but is not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and yearly budgets. Additionally, the Director will supervise the Customer Support/Credit department to guarantee the accurate and timely documentation of customer payments, credit memos, and adjustments. This role also involves developing credit policies to safeguard company assets and reduce bad debts, as well as addressing various customer inquiries and concerns.
Responsibilities:
Manages the Accounting/Finance department.
Responsible for every aspect of monthly close process including JE preparation and/or review, creation of financial statements, trend analysis, and review of all account reconciliations.
Manages the entire annual budget process including coordination with senior management of every functional area to ensure timely and accurate completion of the process.
Participate in a wide variety of special projects and create a variety of ad-hoc analysis.
Establish and maintain systems and internal controls which verify the integrity of Company data and reporting and protect Company assets.
Assist in the preparation of various income tax schedules to assure the accurate and timely completion of all income tax returns.
Collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer on a variety of cost saving/profit enhancing initiatives and other one-off projects.
Works with department heads to establish processes and internal controls related to payment applications.
Manages the Customer Support/Credit department.
Coordinates with the Business Services Department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing.
Investigates unusual customer/sales representative activity.
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, bank, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
Minimum of 10 years of accounting managerial experience
Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
Analytic and Reporting skills
Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, and banking
Experience with an ERP system (SAP experience)
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone
Competencies:
People management responsibility for pay reviews, performance management, training, and resource planning.
Requires conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications, where sufficient information may not be available.
