Job Description:
The Director of Sales is a dynamic leadership role focused on driving revenue through hotel sales, strategic marketing, and event planning. With a strong background in hotel sales and marketing, you will lead the charge in securing group bookings, developing sales strategies, and managing event logistics. This role also requires close collaboration with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution and superior guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Focused:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive group bookings, corporate retreats, and private events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and event organizers to increase sales opportunities.
Proactively identify new markets and client opportunities to expand the hotel's customer base.
Conduct sales calls, client meetings, and site tours to showcase the property and its event capabilities.
Negotiate contracts, secure agreements, and ensure all client expectations are met or exceeded.
Achieve and exceed sales targets for room bookings, event spaces, and food & beverage services.
Manage group room blocks and ensure all event logistics are handled with precision.
Oversee the creation of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure all event details are clearly communicated and executed.
Coordinate with the food & beverage team, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
Monitor industry trends and competitors to continuously adjust strategies and remain competitive in the luxury market.
Assist in the planning and execution of special events and promotions, including weddings, corporate functions, and seasonal celebrations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Hospitality, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in
hotel sales
with a proven track record of success in luxury or boutique hospitality.
Strong sales acumen with a demonstrated ability to close deals and exceed revenue goals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems, sales tracking software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple events and clients simultaneously.
Familiarity with creating Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event planning logistics.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
