IDT is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our DevSecOps team in Mt Laurel, NJ. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside senior leadership and mission-focused engineers in a dynamic environment, contributing to real-world projects and gaining hands-on experience in defense technology.IDT’s Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn from experts and perform meaningful work in a professional work environment. As a DevSecOps Intern at IDT, you will have the chance to work with cutting-edge tools and processes that ensure security, efficiency, and innovation in software development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to building and improving our Secured Software Supply Chain (S3C) system. You will develop automation tools, support secure software deployment, and work on various security-related tasks across the DevSecOps lifecycle. This internship provides the opportunity to expand your technical skills in development, security, and operations while playing a part in ensuring the security of mission-critical systems.Responsibilities:
Support security automation efforts, including static code analysis and security scanning for containers.Help integrate security checks into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure secure software development.Collaborate with the team to enhance infrastructure security, including cloud and containerized environments.Participate in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in development environments.Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevSecOps practices and processes.What You’ll Gain:

Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Ansible, Puppet) and security testing tools (SAST, DAST).Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.Basic understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, podman) and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware).Interest in security concepts, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.Competencies:
