The Creative Producer will develop and run the creative and logistical operations of a series featuring PragerU personalities which will be published multiple times a week on PragerU platforms. The ideal candidate will have prior experience developing and launching multiple series for an online audience, which focus on current events, politics, pop culture, and social issues.
This person should be familiar with the latest trends in daily video podcast production and social media content and be able to implement best practices into the series.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Consistently and routinely produce and publish high quality, engaging episodes of a series multiple times a week.
Daily research and exchange of ideas for stories, videos, and topics to determine what each day’s content will be, how each topic will be covered, and what creative elements will be added to each video.
Handling the logistics of filming, post-production, and publishing of content.
Communicating to production team on behalf of VP of Creative & raising any issues with the team’s bandwidth, performance, or conflicts with other departments.
Review/approve content of live shows and daily episodes.
Supervise editing of shorts from full episodes and/or pulling time stamps for personalities/design team editors to make shorts for PragerU channels.
Manage social media for the series YT channel and any other channels created for the purpose of promoting the series.
Liaison for talent for internal and external requests (e.g. requests to promote PragerU campaigns, certain press inquiries, scheduling minidoc shoots, donor requests, etc.).
Assisting with Marketing’s comedy sketch team and strategizing PragerU’s large-scale marketing campaigns (e.g. NewsGuard, Earth Day, short documentaries).
Successful Candidates Will Possess:
5-7 years of production experience, including 5+ years of management in all arenas of live webcast production (pre-production, day-of, post-production).
Ability to work with start-up style hustle and not overcomplicate productions.
Top-notch organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects/content lines simultaneously, and work with all elements of a production team (management, writers, camera/grip/lighting, editors, etc.).
Strong problem solving skills, identifying creative and cost-effective solutions that balance both short-term needs and long-term scalability.
Strong leadership and ability to garner buy-in from team members, and strong collaboration skills with other departments (marketing, design, etc.).
A true team player, proactive, helpful, honest, and calm under pressure. This is a no-ego environment where no task is too small.
Strong creative instincts and ability to think critically, from giving creative feedback on content to problem-solving logistics issue.
Strong discernment skills to identify news stories that are trending and stories that may be interesting but not being covered in mainstream media.
An ability to break news stories through independent research and verification.
Always looking for ways to develop and improve the series through pitching of new segments, guest interviews, etc.
Strong awareness best practices in video podcast production.
While extensive knowledge of equipment is not required, a good sense of knowledge of camera, lighting, audio, and editing is recommended.

Salary Range:
The salary target for this role is $90,000 - $110,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package. The final candidate hired may potentially have less or more experience than originally posted as per job description, and if this happens, an updated salary range may be used for final hiring package.
