Unique opportunity for a physician leader to foster growth, quality and community outreach in a community healthcare system's integrated cancer network.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of outreach programs to educate local physicians regarding services.

Provide clinical program development and oversight, including quality assurance, clinical pathways, and educational programs.

Attend meetings including Cancer Committee, IRB, Tumor Board, Breast Conference, & NAPBC.

Meet with families and patients in response to concerns and issues.

Serve as the Principal Investigator for cancer research.

Participate in hospital development strategies focusing on cancer care.

Provide expert support in the processes related to facility licensing, accreditations, and regulatory requirements within the area of cancer care.

Oversee and mentor physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff in cancer care.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years post-fellowship experience in acute care setting of Hematology/Oncology.

Practice management and strategy skills.

Proven experience in the area of strategic growth of patient care service lines.

Leadership experience in an acute care practice preferred.

Demonstrated outcomes as a Principal Investigator in cancer care research.

Doctorate in Medicine (M.D. or D.O.) Graduate from an ACGME accredited Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology.

Unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of PA.

Experience practicing medicine in hospital or private practice.

Adept at diagnosing problems and creating treatment plans for patients.

EPIC experience.

Ability to communicate sensitive and/or adverse information.

Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities.

Demonstrated excellent patient care experience.
