The Section of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a qualified faculty member at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level focused on HIV medicine to join our academic program. The faculty member will have responsibilities for outpatient and inpatient clinical care in infectious diseases, focusing on adults with HIV at the Thomas Street at Quentin Mease Health Center and at Ben Taub Hospital in Harris Health. Applicants with leadership experience or substantial clinical or relevant research experience will be considered for appointment as Medical Director of HIV Services at Thomas Street at the Quentin Mease Health Center. Thomas Street at Quentin Mease is one of the largest clinics in the US devoted to the care of adults with HIV and is a recipient of Ryan White Care Act funding. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide clinical care for an underserved population, further develop a research portfolio focused on HIV, and educate the next generation of providers in HIV care. The medical director position represents a unique opportunity to lead a large and influential clinic in an area of focus for Ending the HIV Epidemic efforts. Physician researchers with portfolios in HIV will be able to leverage the substantial resources of the NIH-funded Texas Developmental Center for AIDS Research, while physician educators can participate in BCM's HRSA-funded Houston AIDS Education and Training Center. The position includes participating in the education mission by supervising and training medical students, residents, clinical and research fellows, and other trainees. Incoming academic rank will be based on previous academic and clinical experience.Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Infectious Diseases and possess or be eligible for a Texas Medical License.
