Shady Grove Medical CenterAdventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Director of Facilities Management for our Plant Operations who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a Director of Facilities you will:
Organize, direct and control the daily activities of the Facilities, Grounds Clinical Engineering and Minor Construction Management functions in a manner that ensures highly reliable buildings, grounds and equipment for three of the organizations’ hospitals and other regional outpatient facilities.
Assist in the planning, analyzing and development of physical facilities and infrastructure.
Ensure that there is an effective and well-administered preventative maintenance program.
Ensure adequate liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, material and equipment suppliers deemed essential for an effective program.
Ensure appropriate development and maintenance of policies and procedures to provide consistent practice and performance in departmental operations.
Prepare departmental budgets and estimates for new minor construction, repairs and/or maintenance.
Manage employees in an appropriate manner, coaching, treating them with respect, rewarding good work, and taking corrective or disciplinary action when necessary.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering with specific business management training with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading a healthcare maintenance program is required.
MBA or other applicable graduate degree preferred.
Five (5) years of experience in healthcare facilities management or plant operations required.
Five (5) years of supervisory/management experience required.
Valid Driver’s License in good standing required.
Lean – Six Sigma (preferred).
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager – CHFM or similar (preferred).
Must have knowledge of building codes, N.F.P.A., O.S.H.A., TJC EOC, CMMS, and other requirements, policy and procedure development and implementation.
Work Schedule:Full time
Pay Range:$105,664.42 - $158,496.00
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
