About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Skills and Training Academy Manager to join our team in Osborne SA!

The Skills and Training Academy Strategy Manager will be accountable for supporting the development of the South Australian (SA) Campus of the Skills and Training Academy (STA) and training infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Supporting the development of the South Australian (SA) Campus of the Skills and Training Academy (STA)

Work with the Joint Partners to define the proposed learning curriculum for the SA STA.

Preparation and delivery of internal and external briefings and workshops to ensure key stakeholders are informed on project progress.

Act as the ASC lead for STA implementation and other future training infrastructure projects.

Develop an implementation plan to achieve Initial Operating Capability phase for the SA STA.

Delivery of inputs to into internal/external workshops including coordination of internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as required.

Provision of leadership to the broader STA team. Up to 4 direct reports.

Direct and ensure delivery of ASC’s support to STA pilot workforce growth initiatives.

About you

Qualification in project management, trainingor equivalent experience in project management and strategy definition.

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a complex project environment with responsibility for defining strategy (or equivalent) ideally in the delivery of technical training/education programs. Government and Defence Industry experience is highly desirable.

Demonstrated understanding of project strategy creations and alignment to organisational goals.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and organisational skills are critical for this role.

Autonomous, adaptable, pragmatic, goal directed and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited direction.

Exceptional stakeholder management and excellent negotiation and persuasion skills are required.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
