Vice President, Business Development
to join our team!
Responsibilities:
Working leader overseeing the business development team (BD, Capture, Proposal Management), processes, bid portfolio priorities, winning and internal reporting to achieve annual growth targets profitably.
Fuel company’s strategic growth by leveraging professional experience and insights of the addressable markets, client and acquisition trends, and the competitive landscape across the federal management consultancy ecosystem.
Prepare and support colleagues in the development of account plans, gate reviews, business capture plans, and customer briefings.
Monitor open-source sites to identify and mature potential opportunities.
Lead deal teams through the identification, pursuit and winning of new business development opportunities and provide support to additional colleague deal teams through the opportunity lifecycle.
Initiates the sales process by contacting prospective agency clients and decisions makers, hosting content-driven meetings aimed at building relationships and qualifying opportunities by listening to stakeholder needs and sharing company capabilities/experience.
Increase PWin by defining and effectively communicating new business investment recommendations.
Support development of white papers, RFI/Sources Sought responses and solicited/unsolicited proposals with differentiated solutions.
Lead and support teaming strategies and execution of teaming agreements.
Analyze RFPs and revisions/amendments, providing bid and proposal strategy recommendations.
Participate in color team reviews to enhance, refine and optimize proposal content.
Contribute to the basis of estimate (BOE) development including delivery model level of effort and labor category assignments in support of cost build ups.
Travel to clients, contract sites, partner offices or other, as required.
Professional Experience and Skills:
Knowledge and understanding of federal procurement processes, guidelines, and timelines including but not limited to: FAR, GSA MAS, GWACs, BPAs, IDIQs, NAICS.
Thorough knowledge of current marketing, sales and capture best practices within the industry and the ability to develop unique strategies based on sound marketing and industry analyses.
Successful track record over the last three years of driving growth through competitively winning new business opportunities, preferably in the Federal Civilian markets. DOE, DHS, FAA, DOC strongly preferred. DOD experience a plus.
Demonstrated achievements winning single awards and multiple award vehicles (e.g., IDIQ’s and BPAs) including driving/shaping opportunities to vehicles post award and successfully capturing the business opportunity.
Experience competitively winning A&AS/PMO acquisitions in unrestricted (preferred), small business and SDVOSB acquisitions. Experience with A&AS/PMO plus technology acquisitions a plus.
Proven federal and industry networks across the management consultancy community.
Strong researcher and strategic mindset.
Energetic, collaborative, goal-driven, winning attitude with ability to coordinate multiple projects at a time.
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Expert computer skills with advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite software.
Education and Years of Experience
10+ years of business development and sales experience culminating in 3+ years of comprehensive business development team leadership within the federal management consulting environment selling professional services.
BA/BS degree is a related field of study.
Security Clearance
Applicants selected must be eligible to work in the United States, be subject to a government security investigation, and meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
