Summary:The Executive Director for ACG Dallas/Fort Worth will serve at the direction of the Advisory Board of the Chapter (the “Board”) and the ACG Central Regional CEO.In this hands-on role, the Executive Director is responsible for managing the chapter’s day to day operations and developing and implementing the strategic goals and objectives of the organization, in collaboration with the ACG Dallas/Fort Worth Advisory Board, Committee Chairs, and the ACG Central Regional CEO. The Executive Director will provide direction and leadership to the chapter staff and work closely with members and volunteer leaders to drive chapter growth and a positive member experience.Major Functions/ Accountabilities:ACG Dallas/Fort Worth Advisory Board Administration and SupportWorks with ACG Dallas/Fort Worth President & Advisory Board to determine the strategic direction of the organization. Creates goals and objectives that fulfill the mission of ACG Dallas/Fort Worth.Support operations and administration of the Board, working with the Executive Committee on meeting coordination & agenda development.Prioritize the day-to-day management and back-office support of the organization, acting as the primary point of contact with any paid staff.Responsible for determining external communication strategy and ensuring effective external communications via the organization’s website, emails, and all other member/stakeholder communications.Interface between the Dallas/Fort Worth Advisory Board and the broader organization, across all ACG chapters and ACG headquarters.Actively participate, facilitate and support the committee and Advisory Board meetings and discussions.Ensure smooth transition of new Advisory Board and committee members, upholding appropriate term timeframes & facilitating a consistent and robust leadership pipeline.Program, Product and Service DeliveryIn collaboration with the ACG Dallas/Fort Worth President, the Advisory Board, and the ACG Central Regional CEO, define the strategic goals and objectives for the organization, and oversee marketing, promotion & execution of programs, products and services.Work closely with the Events Manager & the rest of the staff team to deliver high quality events and experiences, continuously improving and innovating to maximize member & participant value.Responsible for financial and budget development, management, and ensuring the events are fiscally sound and profitable.Member RelationsWork closely with the Membership & Marketing Manager, in conjunction with the Membership Committee and other relevant committees, develop and implement the Chapter’s strategic plan for improving the quality and quantity of membership, as well as membership demographics.Build relationships with Dallas/Fort Worth members and industry prospects to publicize, promote and actualize the Chapter’s goals and values through events and programs.Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and engages a membership of qualified professionals engaged in the M&A ecosystem.Ensure member information requests and questions are addressed in a timely and effective manner.Follow the highest ethical standards, ensure accountability, and comply with all applicable laws.Fundraising/Sponsor RelationsIn conjunction with the ACG Dallas/Fort Worth Advisory Board, ACG Dallas/Fort Worth Committees, and the ACG Central Regional CEO, assist with sponsorship strategy, planning & implementation, designing sponsor opportunities for the chapter within defined sales parameters, & assigning resources appropriately.Effectively manage sponsor relationships.Identify new sponsors and/or industry categories that have not traditionally been Chapter sponsors.Assist Sponsorship Committee chair and/or other Advisory Board members to secure already identified opportunities.Financial ManagementWork with ACG Central Regional CEO & ACG Dallas/Fort Worth Advisory Board to develop a yearly financial strategy, building a balanced budget and prudently managing the organization’s resources within budget guidelines and financial growth goals.Monitor monthly and per event P&L’s, measuring program, membership and sponsorship performance to goals to ensure continued financial health of the chapter.Community and Public RelationsAssure the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image and in keeping with the ACG Dallas/Fort Worth brand.Represent ACG Dallas/Fort Worth at other local industry events when relevant, further strengthening the brand and identifying qualified partner opportunities.Represent the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter at broader ACG events, such as at DealMAX, and other chapter and Central regional events where appropriate.Build relationships with Executive Directors from other chapters, sharing best practices and identifying collaboration opportunities.Functional CompetenciesExecutive presence, interpersonal skills and the ability to act as an effective facilitator within the volunteer leadership team of the organization.Ability to translate strategic guidance from the ACG Dallas/Fort Worth Advisory Board and Central Regional CEO into specific goals, and to initiate and/or manage programs and activities that meet those goals in a timely fashion.Demonstrated integrity to enable relationship building with members, partners, sponsors and other organizations.Experience managing outside contractors and/or in-house staff.Has a professional network and the ability to help identify and forge strategic partnerships and the ability to expand the sponsorship base.Proven success developing and implementing member recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher requiredMinimum of 3-5 years executive experience leading an organization or division of a larger entity, with responsibility for overall management, including financial management, administration, and implementing complex programs. (nonprofit management experience a plus)Ability to see and develop the “big picture” while maintaining attention to detail.Comfortable with the technology and tools needed to communicate, manage and lead an organization.Self-directed and able to set and achieve goals with minimal oversight.Ability to cultivate an open, respectful working relationship with all stakeholders where information is shared and communication flows openly.Proven ability to leverage results, constantly adapting and innovating to stay ahead of the needs of the Association and its members, partners and sponsors.Transparent and high-integrity leadership.Demonstrated budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting.Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.Strong public speaking skills and ability to convey a vision of ACG Dallas/Fort Worth’s strategic future to the private capital ecosystem as well as the Advisory Board, volunteers, sponsors and potential members.Working knowledge of and relationships within the private capital ecosystem a plus.Knowledge of fundraising strategies and sponsor relations unique to nonprofit sector.Ability to collaborate with and motivate Advisory Board members and other volunteers.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to interface with and engage diverse volunteer and donor groups.Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff.
