Department of Pediatrics, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida , CareerPhysician is launching a national search for a visionary leader to become the next

Division Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine . The ideal candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership, focusing on expanding clinical, educational and research initiatives in our free-standing children’s hospital. Responsibilities include strategic expansion of the division aligned with organizational growth, faculty development to promote exceptional clinical care coupled with academic productivity, and education of medical students, residents, and fellows to engage and mentor the next generation of pediatricians.

The ideal candidate should have experience and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality clinical care that ensures positive outcomes for patients and their families.

The successful candidate will possess a

MD/DO or equivalent degree , ABP board certification with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, possess or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license, and academic leadership experience and accomplishments commensurate with process qualifications for a University of Central Florida College of Medicine faculty appointment at the level of Associate Professor or Professor.

Nemours Children’s Health is a major pediatric health system with two hospitals and over 70 specialty and primary care practices.

The organization partners with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM) to advance research, education, advocacy and faculty development and the Department serves as the Department of Pediatrics for the UCF COM.

Leadership at Nemours Children’s in Orlando is focused on expanding the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. The current Hospitalist team has established a collaborative and collegial culture, built on mutual respect, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. This hardworking group of physicians fosters a supportive and solutions-oriented environment, which drives both individual and collective success. Our board-certified pediatric hospital medicine faculty provide dedicated care to hospitalized children.

The Division Chief, who reports to the Department of Pediatrics Chair, will oversee hospitalists and advanced practice providers, ensuring clinical excellence and professional growth.

Key initiatives include developing clinical research, quality improvement and innovative care models, while also working closely with a full complement of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists addressing the needs of the vulnerable population served in central Florida.

The role requires a strong background in scholarly activity, optimally with evidence of the ability to secure research funding.

As primary leaders in clinical education at Nemours Children's Hospital-Florida, we offer a robust ACMGE accredited 2-year Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship program.
