This role leads the development and implementation of Genie‘s manufacturing strategy to optimize cost, while maintaining flexible capacity that responds to cyclical changes in demand. Leads a team of six direct reports, including Project Managers, Engineers, and Analysts, to develop strategic options, conduct financial and operational comparisons, and execute selected projects in support of the Genie business strategy. Works collaboratively within the Operations team as well as across the organization, teaming with Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Management, Finance and others to ensure the cross-functional strategy alignment and execution approach.Key Tasks

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develops options for and leads manufacturing strategy development to synchronize with Product, Design, and Supply Chain strategies to optimize total company performance aligned with long term corporate targets.Leads large scale programs utilizing cross-functional and cross-regional teams to plan, resource, and execute improvements in manufacturing footprint in anticipation of and in response to changes in macroeconomic and geopolitical trends impacting our industry.Works closely with Terex and Genie senior leaders to understand overall business outlook and strategy as the basis for manufacturing network strategy.Plays a key role in developing vertical integration, make/buy and production strategies to maximize gross margins while ensuring strong financial performance throughout economic cycles.Leads the management of the Genie manufacturing footprint and assists in site selection for manufacturing facilities in support of our globalization strategy.Leads global network project management team to execute identified projects on time and on budget.Minimum Required Qualifications

Education

A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent is required. A minimum of 5 years manufacturing-related experience is required. MBA preferred.Skills & Abilities

Proven ability to think strategically while understanding the day-to-day requirements of manufacturing operations.Strong financial and operational analytical skills necessary to develop, evaluate and make vertical integration, make/buy and other strategic recommendations.Enthusiasm and skill in cross-functional collaboration to develop creative solutions and challenge historical approaches.Ability to develop and communicate a compelling vision and case for changes dictated by strategic choices.Effective at communicating at all levels of the organization, from the shop floor to the executive team.Ability and comfort in presenting content/data rich information to senior executives, including Board of Directors.Experience leading a team preferred.Salary

The salary range for this position is $180k - $220k USD.
