Senior Director of Product Management
for our HVAC Business Unit. This is a critical role to both create and drive a growth-focused product strategy.Reporting to the SVP and GM of the Motors and Drives division, this role will have responsibility for the development and execution of product line roadmaps that enable sustainable differentiation for the business while ensuring a balanced portfolio of investments in core products through the identification of new product development in top 20% of customers or markets. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional product development teams, sales teams, marketing communications teams, finance teams, and business leadership. S/he will be responsible for driving activities and decisions focused on maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and growing market share through innovation with purpose.In addition, this role is responsible for developing a team of product manager(s) and specialists who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are driven to excel and perform at their highest potential. This leader will emphasize and leverage talent assessment and development, application of RBS 80/20 framework, and a strong cultural awareness to drive transformation within the division.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct ManagementManage the entire life cycle of HVAC product lines within the division from strategic planning, product definition, tactical launch activities, share growth, and end of life.Run the HVAC product families as a P&L, with accountability for growth and margin attainment.Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products, and execute countermeasures where appropriate.Coordinate and lead the ongoing Innovation and VOC exercises. Combine this information with a business case analysis to define business requirements and the product's value proposition.Develop and implement cohesive short- and long-term product line roadmaps for HVAC platforms.Operate as the internal voice of our customers across development teams, primarily Engineering, Sales, and Marketing through an understanding of market requirements, product definition, training, and launch activities.Bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; developing quantifiable and sustainable value propositions from the customers' perspective vs. the next best alternative; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering, sales, marketing, and manufacturing.Develop product pricing strategies and manage the team to drive maximum profit and sales.Drive the Regal Rexnord Business System, which includes 80/20 and Continuous Improvement in all aspects of product management and decision making.Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, and appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.Develop controls and review KPIs in reference to planned objectives.Talent ManagementLead and mentor multiple direct reports to be responsible for growth, voice of customer, innovation, and product line simplification.Develop a high-performance team by engaging, coaching, and developing team members, on application information, product initiatives, and RBS 80/20 framework. Drive accountability and ownership at all levels.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an Accredited UniversityMinimum 8 years of commercial, product or marketing experience with highly engineered products in a complex B2B industrial manufacturing enterprise2+ years leadership experience with increasing responsibility.Proficiency with MS Office (Excel / Word / Power Point) and CRM (i.e., SalesForce.com or Microsoft Dynamics)Must have the ability to digest commercial transaction data to manage the product families and identify trends/issues (i.e., PowerBi)Capable of both strategic thinking and tactical execution.
