Part of the Corporate Strategy, the Strategic Intelligence team is a central global function at Schneider Electric, which helps to shape the global strategy of Schneider Electric and focuses mainly on benchmark analysis, competition profiling and market trends. The team is international and is composed of 8 people located in Paris, Hong Kong and Boston.

A. Description of the role & responsibilities of the Strategic Intelligence Senior analyst

The Strategic Intelligence Senior analyst is a key member of the Corporate Strategic Intelligence team. He/she actively contributes to monitor the competition and is exposed to multiple stakeholders across the organization and various parts of the business. His/her main responsibilities include:

Business intelligenceCollect, analyze and synthesize all relevant information (macroeconomic, market, competition, field information ...) to identify weak signals of the competitive environment and impacts on Schneider Electric, follow the market evolution.Monitor, analyze the competitors' publications (e.g. quarterly results, capital market days) and contribute to insightful strategic analyses of the competition. Present the outcome of such analysis to a large audience within Schneider Electric.Create detailed analyses on the strategic, financial, and operational activities of key competitors in coordination with other team members, as well as (i) other internal stakeholders within divisions / regions of Schneider Electric or (ii) external consultants or research institutes.Conduct ad-hoc research, paired with corporate strategy directors, focusing on areas of strategic importance for the group top managers.Coach & train Strategic Intelligence Junior Analysts (apprentice/interns) and newcomers in the team.Transformation projects in methods & toolsDrive one or several streams of the ongoing transformation projects to automate the process and improve the quality of analyses (using RPA, Artificial Intelligence and Business Intelligence tools).

B. Requirements for the roleExcellent understanding of financial statementsAnalytical skills:

ability to learn, screen and quickly absorb information on various topics from multiple sources and synthesize it to make meaningful recommendations.Presentation skills (written and oral)Good interpersonal skills and collaborative team player:

ability to connect with people easily working with a multi-national and multi-cultural team spread across different locations.Comfortable operating with a very

strict level of confidentiality , given the types of topics covered, and the access to information provided by the role.Leadership

in conducting transformation projects.Work with precision, method and attention to details

C. Candidates qualificationsWork experience: 5-7y of professional experience with a background in Finance, External Audit (Big 4 preferred), Strategy, Consulting or Investment Banking.Previous experience working with an international team.Education: strong educational background and a major in finance is preferred.Languages: fluency in spoken and written English; other languages are a plus.Other: excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills, excellent writing and presentation skills; Experience with Tableau and Power BI is a plus.Previous work experience in Industrials / Capital Goods is a plus.
