Position Summary:
The Inventory Staff member is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, and ensuring efficiency for office and all programs' operations. This role involves physical tasks, such as lifting and moving inventory, as well as administrative duties related to inventory control and record-keeping.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
Record and track stock levels, reorder points, and item usage.
Update inventory management systems or tracking record with accurate data.
Monitor and report discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
Receiving and Stocking:
Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
Unload and store materials in designated locations.
Label and organize inventory for easy retrieval and efficient operation.
Rotate stock to prevent spoilage or obsolescence.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to program specifications.
Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders.
Use inventory management software or tracking system to update order status and inventory levels.
Storage Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
Operate equipment, such as hand trucks.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
Generate reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and metrics as required.
Assist in developing and implementing inventory control policies and procedures.
Customer Service:
Assist program staff and manager with inventory-related inquiries.
Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing issues and concerns.
Other Organizational Duties:
Conduct business in accordance with the Mission Action Employee Handbook, exercising sound judgment and serving the best interests of the agency and the community.
Work within the framework of the agency's mission, vision, values, theory of change, and organization's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, restorative justice, trauma-informed work, and language justice.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field.
Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bilingual in spoken and written Spanish, preferred.
Required work during weekends and holidays.
Valid state Driver's License and driving agency's car is required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
Capability to climb ladders and reach overhead to access inventory.
Manual dexterity to handle small objects and operate equipment.
Good visual acuity to read labels, instructions, and to conduct inspections.
