Amentum is seeking an experienced
Intel Exercise and Engagement Planner
to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting Exercise Planning and Coordination, including the development of intelligence training objectives and scenarios. The Intel Planner will play a critical role in providing intel support to exercise planning conferences and ensure the seamless synchronization and coordination between SOJ3, SOJ7, subordinate units, and external organizations. Additionally, this position will support Engagement Planning and analysis, including strategy development, event planning, and administrative support for international engagements. The ideal candidate will be able to integrate fully with the command and provide expertise in both exercise and engagement intelligence planning.Duties and Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, and execute SOCPAC and component intelligence participation in assigned USINDOPACOM, JCS, and Service exercises.Collaborate with USINDOPACOM and component planners to manage exercise development and meet SOCPAC SOJ2 Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) requirements.Ensure that SOCPAC and component exercises contribute to the Defense Readiness Reporting System and incorporate insights from the Joint Lessons Learned system.Develop training objectives in partnership with exercise participants and SOCPAC SOJ2 stakeholders.Assist in coordination efforts with both DoD and non-DoD exercise participants and supporting organizations.Draft and develop realistic threat scenarios, incorporating best practices from DoD and other agencies.Coordinate exercise criteria to test and challenge intelligence training objectives.Consolidate and draft After Action Reports (AARs) related to training objectives, corrections, and Course of Action (COA) development.Conduct all-source research and assessments on countries within the Indo-Pacific to identify challenges in achieving engagement objectives, developing recommendations to overcome these challenges in collaboration with SOCPAC Intelligence SMEs.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of Intel Planning Experience.Strong understanding of DoD exercise planning processes, particularly related to intelligence participation and scenario development.Ability to coordinate and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to meet exercise and engagement objectives.Must have an active Top-Secret security clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience providing intelligence support to Special Operations Forces (SOF) units/commands.Prior experience as an exercise planner within the Department of Defense.Familiarity with multinational engagement planning and execution in the Indo-Pacific region.The salary range for this position is $135K to $170K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
