New York, New York, United StatesThe Opportunity:FE International is looking for a senior investment banker (the “Senior Banker”) to originate and execute new transactions for clients utilizing the firm’s broad array of strategic and financial advisory services. The Senior Banker should be a Managing Director or Director with an established cadre of client relationships across industries, including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, corporations, family offices, and entrepreneurs. The Senior Banker must be an expert in executing merger, acquisition, and sale transactions, along with private debt and equity capital raising.The Senior Banker will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting information from potential clients necessary for the firm to provide a new business presentation (pitch) to advise the client on a proposed transaction involving one or more of its businesses. The Senior Banker will prioritize clients best suited to retain FE International as their strategic and financial advisor.Good communication is key to the Senior Banker role, with clients based worldwide and coming from various backgrounds with different motivations for seeking a transaction.Responsibilities:Soliciting potential new advisory business from the Senior Banker’s existing network of relationships;Gathering information about businesses from potential clients;Reviewing documentation provided by clients with expert analysis of financials, metrics, and operations;Collaborating with colleagues and internal teams to prepare and present analyses and presentations;Assisting in the creation of marketing materials to help clients understand FE products and services;Assisting in the preparation of basic legal documents for the onboarding process;Identifying potential new clients not already in the Senior Banker’s network;Leading the execution of merger, acquisition, and sale transactions, along with private debt and equity capital placements;Advising clients on strategy, tactics, and mechanics of transactions;Negotiating optimal terms and conditions for proposed transactions;Providing all other advice and assistance required by the client in the context of a transaction.Required Skills:Proficiency with Capital IQ, PitchBook, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, and similar databases;Experience drafting and producing client presentations and related materials;Proficiency with financial analysis techniques;Understanding of Corporate Finance theory and practice;Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven sales and negotiation expertise;Able to communicate concepts concisely and persuasively;Detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information;Superior written and verbal communication skills;Ability to analyze profit & loss statements and balance sheets;Extensive Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word experience;Strong problem-solving capability and analytical skills;Resourceful self-starter, able to work under pressure and manage time effectively;Ability to lead multiple transactions and projects simultaneously.Experience and Education:Previous experience working with high-value clients;Experience in leading or materially involving in a minimum of 40 closed transactions;Bachelor’s degree from a leading university; MBA or similar graduate degree is a plus;Background in mathematics, computer science, business administration, accounting, economics, finance, or equivalent discipline preferred;Minimum 12 years of prior work experience in investment banking;Industry experience in software, e-commerce, or technology.***Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States with no sponsorship required***
