We encourage collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.SUMMARY:The Director of a regional program is responsible for ensuring the delivery and overall success of an entire region of programming for DST. The Director is responsible for the direct supervision of the Program Managers. A competent Director must demonstrate a broad knowledge of program management principles, fundraising, stakeholder development, HR principles, financial acumen and more.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:Operations

Supervise Project Managers for full employment life cycle (hiring, onboarding, performance management, etc.) of three Santa Clara County-based Program Managers (PMs)Ensure successful messaging of DST policies, initiatives and announcements are being provided to direct reports and all regional employeesProvide meaningful and frequent job coaching and training to all direct reports as it relates to their role and responsibilities as an Employment Specialist, Case Manager, Administrative staff and Project Managers to include; a deeper understanding of their role, addressing needs and encouraging innovative ideas. Also provides frequent communication with PM’s regarding the coaching of othersProvide ongoing opportunities to create greater awareness and support of DST’s Vision, Values and CultureDevelop and maintain orientation schedule and Introductory Period training plan for new staffReview roles and responsibilities as outlines in the Managers Manual, with all new Project ManagersEnsure timely submission of timecards, and all financial reporting for all direct reportsThoroughly review all proposals, contracts and verify all contractual requirements are within the scope of the program and approve for signatureReview annual budget with PM’s and submit regional budget for approval. Able to budget independent of their supervisorReview monthly financial statements with to develop and maintain monthly spending and allocation plans with finance departmentPrograms

Act as the face to the greater community, by representing the Team to all existing and potential partners including local government agencies, other social service providers, community-based groups, private business, and other stakeholdersMaintain Team culture and accountability by working through issues in a respectful, compassionate, yet firm mannerSupports PM in the daily hands-on management of large work experience team of unhoused individuals in multiple locations, or a single location, with growth expected within 6-12 monthsEffectively track and report project data to contractor and general public, including government fundersMaintain regular communication with other staff regarding team goals, potential partnerships, projects, and new ideasSupport PM’s with contract compliance and goalsSeek out supportive health, housing and employment services and pathways for the programDevelop new projects within the regionForm Advisory Council, manage and chair regularly scheduled meetingsVisit meetings for Team, staff, partners and donors throughout the CountyFill in for PMs during vacancies or for those on PTO/leaveDevelopment

Expertly represent DST to all existing and potential partners including; local government agencies, other social service providers, community-based groups, private businesses and other stakeholders. Is a highly skilled presenter to large stakeholder groupsRegionally engage business community through Business Improvement District, Chamber of Commerce, and other organizations and eventsResearch and apply for new partnerships and funding opportunitiesMaintain and grow state and county relationships that include funding within the area of responsibilityEstablish close working relationships with local community, business and governmental partners to allow for collaborative development of services and new ideasIdentify and pursue new funding sources in order to increase funding and expand serviceEngage with individual donors to meet fundraising objectivesCOMMUNITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SANTA CLARA COUNTY:

Manage a regional budget of up to $2,000,000.Ensure the successful delivery of a volunteer work program of at least 90 Team Members on at least five contracts, which operate at various times, seven days a weekSupport Program Managers in the operation of three community programs in conjunction with the cities of Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, San Jose and Santa Clara CountyReport as required to 10+ local government partnersAssist Development staff in Santa Clara County-based fundraising initiativesManage three Project ManagersWHAT YOU'LL NEED:

HS Diploma or equivalent5 years of experience in Social Service or related field5 years of experience directly supervising and coaching staffAbility to perform job duties with minimal supervisionStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflowExcellent listening comprehension, written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific methodProficient in Microsoft programsWhile performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 25 lbs.)Observation and problem solving; hearing, seeing, reasoning and decision makingAbility to perform intermediate mathematical calculations for budgetingWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
