As part of the larger Infrastructure organization at Robinhood, the team closely collaborates across all areas of infrastructure. Our mission is to be the stewards of Data Governance at Robinhood, ensuring the highest standards of data protection, compliance, and security.
As a Software Engineer, you will be part of an innovative team that builds software systems and tools to ensure that Robinhood handles data at scale, ensuring privacy, and always safely.
What you’ll do
Develop and maintain data governance infrastructure ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
Implement and maintain advanced tools for data discoverability, tagging, and classification.
Automate processes for data discovery, tagging, and compliance tracking.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance policies are effectively translated and implemented.
Monitor and audit data access to ensure compliance with governance policies.
Develop tooling for automated PII detection and mitigation.
What you bring
Demonstrated experience as a proven developer with experience building large projects with long-term impact.
Exposure to working with infrastructure within a heavily scaled organization.
Experience working with heavily utilized infra tools such as Bazel, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, Airflow, and Presto among others.
