OverviewDevis is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) for a proposal position, contingent upon contract award, that will be responsible for managing the security clearance processes for personnel assigned to a government contract. This role will support government security protocols and compliance measures, ensuring all personnel meet required security clearances. The FSO will collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to facilitate clearance processes and maintain compliance with relevant government security regulations.
Primary Duties
Clearance Processing : Manage and coordinate security clearance processing for personnel, including initial clearances, renewals, upgrades, and terminations in alignment with contract requirements and government regulations.Security Compliance : Develop and enforce security policies and procedures in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), ensuring full compliance with government security standards.Personnel Security Management : Maintain personnel security files and records in accordance with security clearance requirements, conducting regular audits and updates to ensure accuracy and compliance.Incident Reporting and Investigations : Report and investigate security violations or incidents, coordinating with government agencies as required and implementing corrective actions.Training and Briefings : Conduct security awareness training and briefings for cleared personnel, ensuring ongoing compliance with facility and government security procedures.Communication with Government Agencies : Serve as the primary point of contact with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other government entities regarding security clearance matters.Policy Development : Develop and update internal security policies, ensuring they align with changing government standards and best practices in security management.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security-related field, with a focus on personnel clearance processing and compliance.Certified FSO (Facility Security Officer) training completion required.Proficiency with security management systems (e.g., JPAS/DISS), strong understanding of NISPOM guidelines, and experience in security policies and procedures.Must hold or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications, Microsoft 365.Desired Qualifications
