Position Summary:
The Director of Digital Solutions & Innovation will concept, explore and develop opportunities for Penske to deliver digital solutions for our customers that provides customer value and differentiation. This position will focus on new digital product innovations and early stage concepting. This role will work closely with multiple stakeholder groups to identify and scope emerging and strategic opportunities.
Major Responsibilities:
Identify new product opportunities through research (customer, market, and Penske business) that provides value to both the customer and business.
Partner with our Product Development team to develop digital innovations for strategic business offerings.
Grow and mentor a team to act as internal consultants on new and emerging digital product initiatives.
Work with the business functions, Sr Leadership, Connected Fleet data team and IT to prioritize tool development and delivery.
Develop strong relationships with other key internal and external stakeholders.
Must be able to effectively communicate and evangelize new initiatives to all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Required in Technology or Marketing.
MBA preferred.
10+ Experience in delivering Interactive / digital solutions. Business acumen, Marketing and a foundation in IT is required.
At least 5 years working with and delivering on digital product strategy.
Advanced knowledge of the Product management function.
Advanced knowledge and experience in the user centric design process.
Intermediate knowledge of IT development process.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to collaborate within the product teams and across department functions.
Can develop teams so that they fully embrace product management and have the skills to produce superior products.
Ability to quickly learn new technical areas and processes.
Ability to develop a vision for products and take full ownership of the developed products.
