This position is part of the team which drives Qualcomm’s Technology roadmaps.The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships with the CPU and AI engineering teams, scope out product and roadmap requirements based on real world use cases, align CPU and AI definition with various internal business units/product teams, and advocate Qualcomm’s CPU and AI technology with customers & media.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.4+ years of Product Management or related work experience.Desired Skills:Strong background in processor architecture/microarchitecture.Experience with SoC definition/execution.Impact of architecture on debug/toolchain/software platform needs.Familiarity with back-end implementation power, performance, and area tradeoffs.Background in customer facing role.Strong written and spoken communication skills with diverse audiences.Ability to lead without direct authority across organization and industry.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Contributes to the creation of a differentiated technology roadmap, promotes it within team, and ensures all team members understand the roadmap.Completes technology development and definition activities for a moderately complex product.Conducts complex analyses to assess marketability of technology within products based on market, customer, technology, and other ecosystem demands.Markets new and complex technology features through technical marketing opportunities such as conferences, congresses, and direct customer contact and drives product launch efforts.Prepares and delivers highly complex technical presentations for new and existing products that explain and demonstrate CPU technology.Directs the CPU definition for products with minimal supervision and communicates with individuals across functional teams.Maintains expertise by staying up to date on competitors, technological advances, and the CPU ecosystem and takes the lead on development and design innovation of products in an established area to articulate differentiation of products to customers and identify trends.Communicates regularly within own team and cross-functional team(s) to ensure team-level understanding of product plans for a product line.Ensures successful cross-functional collaboration by ensuring that agreed upon technology KPIs and specifications are met for product(s), upon delivery by engineering team.Pay range:
$152,000.00 - $228,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
