Under the supervision of the Program Director, the YEF Program Specialist is responsible for onsite supervision, program implementation, and staff development for the Youth Community Funder team. This role will focus on community outreach to share program awareness and recruit fiscal sponsors, grantee applicants, and community funder youth staff. This position is responsible for helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment; ensuring a high level of program quality that will expose youth to various advocacy, leadership, and decision-making spaces. The primary responsibility for this role is to create content and facilitate community funder meetings that are compliant with funder expectations. Additionally, this position supports community grant fund tracking, purchasing, and working with grantees to navigate.Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of ageHigh School diploma, proof of High School Equivalency test completion, or 2 years of continual work/volunteer experienceExperience with youth group facilitation and workshop planningAble to work nights and weekendsPreferred Qualifications
Some college creditsExperience as a YEF Community Funder or other youth leadership programAll employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors. Job offers are conditional and contingent upon background clearance.
