LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking a

Cybersecurity Specialist

with technical expertise and systems engineering knowledge and experience to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). A Cybersecurity specialist applies current computer science technologies to the design, development, evaluation, and integration of computer systems and networks to maintain system security and provide information assurance. Provides security engineering and integration support to internal and external customers. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, electronic data traffic, and network access. Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research. Responsibilities Provide a variety of technical engineering expertise and assistance involving the implementation, integration, and transition of NAS modernization systems, components, and equipment. Provide technical support for impacts to FAA Aeronautical Policies. Engineering design, design review, scheduling and installation oversight for various programs and projects within the FAA AIS portfolio. Review Information Systems Security documentation. Participate in on-going disaster recovery planning and actual test exercises. Process Security Certification and Authorization Process (SCAP) requirements. Provide overall technical support in the area of information security. Education Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or Information Systems or related field. Two or more information assurance certificates such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and five years of related experience in lieu of degree. Qualifications Must have system engineering and security experience. Must have experience in the following areas:

Access control systems. Telecommunication and network security. Security management. Applications and systems development security. Security architectures and models. Operations security. Development of information security requirements.

Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal. Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance. Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms. Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision. Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.

Compensation (Pay Bands) Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate.
