(ITC) is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team of diverse technical professionals to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in analyzing clinical data and Informatics solutions delivered to the VA enterprise to support organizational learning and a High-Reliability Organization.The qualified applicant will become part of ITC’s team supporting our Department of Veterans Affairs client. The candidate should be skilled in reporting and analytics tools and methods and communicate effectively with executive leadership.Location: Remote position; able to work East Coast Hours (primarily)Responsibilities:

Develops and manages information to support strategic decision-makingPerforms complex analyses and communicates findings to business owners and senior leadersConducts and facilitates (and educates and trains on) analyses, data research, data manipulation, risk assessment, solution development, and strategic alignmentProvides consulting and analytic services to leadershipCollaborates with cross-functional teams to develop data visualizations with meaningful insightsAnalyzes and interprets data trends and patterns with performance objectives in mindDefines data assets to develop performance measurements, key performance indicators and objectives, and key resultsMinimum Requirements:

Master's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience.Experience creating and analyzing clinical data and creating data visualizations that communicate clinical outcomes, improvements, and costsExperience using statistical methods for the measurement of clinical outcomesMUST HAVE: Experience with conducting causal inference with observational data and in quasi-experimental settings (e.g., differences-in-differences, instrumental variables, regression discontinuity designs, causal forests, meta-learners, doubly robust learning, etc.)Hands-on experience with statistics and machine learning data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling, preferably in the healthcare sectorAdvanced experience handling complex data sets within large organizations, including data cleaning, transformation, and analysisExcellent written and oral communication skills; must provide examples if chosen for an interviewUnderstanding of data ethics principles and how to avoid or reduce biases to build ethical and responsible data science/analytics products.Strong programming skills in Python and/or R with a focus on data analysis, data science, or machine learning.Advanced SQL development experienceStrong understanding of version control (i.e. git)Preferred:

PhD in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Clinical Informatics or related disciplines.Experience in Agile, SAFe AgileVA experienceExperience with VistA/CPRS a plus, and VA Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW)Clearance Requirements:
