Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) seeks a self-starting Test Systems Engineer who will be working with a small team to perform test, analysis, troubleshooting, and integration of Tactical Data Link (TDL) software intensive systems in a structured environment to meet our customer's high expectations. The effort is to provide the following:
• Create and execute test scripts for software functionality and interoperability into Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems using relevant TDL test tools on Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
• Implement Microsoft Excel tracking systems to trace and test variety of requirements with real and simulated equipment.
• Analyze and troubleshoot software design and code for finding issues and creating detail-oriented reports on findings.
• Document and update test descriptions, procedures, and results in a Data Item Description (DID) standard for an acceptance testing event.
• Participate in Test Readiness Review and other status reporting briefings for government customers.

This position will be at the TUG and/or customer sites in San Diego. The Test Systems Engineer shall possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a Science/Technology discipline.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience with developing government technical documents to include Test Plans, Procedures and Reports
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Experience with the development and maintenance of the System Test Environments
• The ability to trace system requirements from customer specifications to test cases
• The ability to conduct integration and formal system tests
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7+ and/or Ubuntu)
• Knowledge of Tactical Data Links (TDL) such as Link 11, Link 16, Link 22, or JREAP
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) Hardware and Software
• Knowledge of dynamic (ad hoc) networking environments
• Experience with system verification and validation
• Experience with Agile software development
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
In addition to the required skills, the ideal candidate may have one or more of the following:
• Active Government Security Clearance
• Experience with scripting and test automation tools
• Technical writing skills
• Organizational and Leadership skills
• Experience with cabling and configuring HF/UHF radio equipment
• Experience working with CI/CD tools, including GIT and Jenkins
