About the Job:
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong project management experience and expertise in IT, ideally with a background in legal or judicial environments. This role involves working on complex IT projects within the judiciary, focusing on analyzing current systems, documenting requirements, and collaborating closely with technical and judiciary personnel to support process improvements and project implementations.
Must-Have:
Active Project Management Professional (PMP) CertificationMaster’s Degree in Information Systems or related field10+ years of IT experience with a preference for candidates with experience in court or legal environmentsFamiliarity with tools such as UML, NIEM/JIEM data modeling, XML, and SOAP protocolsAbility to communicate effectively across diverse teams and with judicial personnel at all levelsKnowledge of systems development lifecycle principles and relational database structures
Key Responsibilities:
Document current systems and business processes, identifying areas for improvement.Conduct interviews with users to gather and document functional requirements for new development and enhancement projects.Collaborate with developers, technical leads, and judiciary personnel to develop test plans and coordinate testing efforts.Assist in developing systems development methodologies, documentation, and process artifacts as needed.Track and report project status to support the Project Management Office in maintaining project timelines and objectives.Contribute to Project Definition documents, including project scope, costs, resources, and return on investment (ROI) analysis.Perform data analysis and create database inquiries as necessary to support project objectives.Coordinate with business analysts, project managers, and IT/court managers to streamline requirements gathering and test planning.Facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and oversee the review and approval of project functional requirements and test plans.Act as a liaison with justice partners, ensuring data exchanges meet legal and business requirements.

Familiarity with the Odyssey Case Management SystemKnowledge of integration patterns, web services, APIs, and other data exchange toolsExperience conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessionsProficiency in data modeling and requirements tracking softwareAdditional certifications in IT project management or business analysis
