Supermicro is actively seeking Release Engineers who are skillful in design and development of build and release processes and the automation of both. With a strong foundation in software engineering and system automation, release engineers shall be knowledgeable of software configuration management, version control systems, and DevOps processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Familiar with version control systems, such as SVN and GitHub/GitLabFamiliar with CI/CD, continuous integration and continuous delivery, toolsAble to design and implement release pipeline to ensure smooth software rolloutsAble to read/enhance existing release control programsManage windows server and virtual machine configurations, including deployment and rollback proceduresQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree. Degrees in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering is preferred.Minimum 3 years hands-on experience as a release engineer. Experience in Windows, Docker, and SQL Server Management experience is required.Familiar with SVN and Git version control systems.Programming skills: Be able to read existing release control programs and be able to utilize available languages (C#, VB, script, etc.) to automate job running, job status notification, etc.Manage Windows server and virtual machine configurations, including deployment and rollback procedures. Familiar with common deployment strategies (blue-green, continuous, etc.)Strong communication skills, able to work efficiently between developers, DBA, and IT infrastructure teams.Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, etc.) and creating deployment pipelines for multiple build environments (testing, production).Salary Range
$85,000 - $132,000The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.EEO Statement
