DevOps Engineer (Linux)

Tal-Ex is partnering with a media services organization to identify (2) DevOps Engineers for contract to hire roles located in San Mateo, California.As a key DevOps software engineer on our client's Technical Infrastructure and Operations team, you will help lead our efforts to develop new features for and scale out our fast growing production infrastructure.Responsibilities

Development of new applications and tools to automate key portions of our production infrastructureDevelopment of solutions for the automation of system provisioning and deploymentResearch and implementation of new monitoring systemsDevelop and deploy new tools for the automation of configuration management processesBuild internal tools for centralized infrastructure managementQualifications

2+ years of hands-on DevOps experienceBS/MS in Computer Science or EEInterest in working as a key internal developer in our large-scale production environmentSolid understanding of Linux network stack, DNS, TCP/IP and switchingExperience with automation tools (Ansible, Salt or Chef)Strong scripting skills in Bash, Ruby or PythonInterest in or knowledge of server virtualization solutionsExperience with GitStrong database administration experienceExperience working with Amazon Web Services
