The team behind Leon's Oyster Shop, Melfi's, and Little Jack's Tavern is
seeking a professional General Manager
to join our organization.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and service focused, with an interest in wine service, food, cocktails, beer and all things restaurant related. They should be capable of commanding a busy dining room where service is polished but warm and familiar. Previous management experience is a must.
Our managers take a hands-on approach to the business. They provide inspirational leadership with an emphasis on operations, food and service quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and sales/profitability. They should have experience in creating and reinforcing a positive environment with a team atmosphere where feedback is encouraged and the goal of everyone is to develop their talents. Our managers touch all aspects of the business including hiring, training, invoicing and inventory - it is a great learning ground for a future restaurant owner.

and well loved locally and nationally. They have been recognized as Southern Living's "Best Restaurant in the South," Bon Appetit's "50 Best New Restaurants in America," and have been nominated multiple times as Semifinalists for the James Beard Awards.

Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge Experience in guiding and leading a staff to obtain the highest level of service through kindness, and constant gentle pressure Possesses the ability to reprimand, critique, and hold accountable the Front of House staff to maintain our company’s high standards for service. Responsible, hardworking, honest, very neat and well groomed, with a great smile Familiarity with restaurant management software
