The Director - Business Banking Sales is responsible for the leadership and management of a team of Business Banking Relationship Managers focusing on new business development, portfolio management, credit quality, relationship expansion, and overall relationship management of their assigned client portfolios. Customers can range from five million to thirty million in annual revenue, with loan sizes up to $10mm or more. The role involves collaboration with Commercial Banking and support for Consumer Banking Leadership, Market Leaders, and Small Business Banking Consultants, as well as external Centers of Influence to expand lending and deposit portfolios. The Director will also work on building credit automation tools and ensuring strong credit quality thresholds are met.Pay Range:
$140,622 - $186,324 - $232,026Job Responsibilities:Hires, trains, and manages a staff of Business Banking Relationship Managers.Monitors and coaches performance of team members, ensuring relationships are created and maintained, and taking corrective actions if goals are not achieved.Leads and helps develop the team's network of clients and centers of influence to expand opportunities.Partners with Head of Small Business and Consumer Banking Leadership Team to create strategic plans for Business Banking.Ensures proactive monitoring of credit quality of portfolios through timely financial statement gathering and compliance monitoring.Resolves escalated issues and complex relationships/transactions.Handles talent management functions including employment, performance evaluations, and staff development/training.Performs special projects and additional duties as required.Manages a direct expense budget.Adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards.Job Requirements:Education level required: Master's Degree in business, finance, or related field.10+ years of experience in commercial lending/business banking lending/small business lending required.15+ years of Sales Leadership experience in Commercial Sales/Business Banking Sales/Small Business Sales required.Working knowledge of SBA programs preferred.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Strong leadership, management, and coaching skills.Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and industry trends.Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales goals.Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
