Job Summary:
The VP Sales is responsible for Surescripts’ sales strategy and specifically entrusted with achieving revenue growth to meet Surescripts’ strategic plan. To accomplish this, The VP Sales develops long-lasting relationships with executive level customers and guides them to obtain new, upgraded, or expand Surescripts’ products and services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling services to pharmaceutical manufacturers, as well as extensive experience in health IT sales to Health Technology Vendors (HTVs), Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), or health plans.The VP Sales is responsible for designing appropriate tracking and performance measurement, while also working with the Chief Growth Officer to design and implement sales compensation. The incumbent is readily up to date on new product launches. The incumbent frequently collaborates with the Product and Finance teams to uncover new opportunities for growth and execute contract and negotiation processes that ensures profitability and consistency across the entire company.Responsibilities:
Represent the interests of customers in the assigned market segments to influence requirements for new, upgraded, or expanded products and services.Manage a team of account executives to define and execute customer acquisition and retention strategies, drive strategic alignment, achieve product specific growth objectives, and deliver operational excellence.Develop and maintain a sales plan to deliver on corporate financial objectives.Achieve sales targets that are aligned with Surescripts’ strategic plan, ensuring that sales dependent revenue meets or exceeds the financial goals.Design compensation structures that align with and supports corporate financial targets while motivating sales team members to build the business in alignment with strategic objectives.Develop business models and negotiate terms directly with the largest and most complex clients in the portfolio.Lead and participate in various internal and external strategic initiatives.Develop and maintain executive level internal and external relationships.Ensure appropriate pipeline tracking and reporting to all levels of the organization.Build new skills in the organization and align sales talent to corporate objectives.Build relationships with partner groups (Finance, Product, Marketing) to both influence corporate direction and to ensure appropriate alignment across functions.Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
12+ years of experience in related, progressive roles.

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $287,834 - $351,797 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
